Lol – I ruled a freeroll

After coming home yesterday I chatted with IlBrutto, the master of spamcomments, and he told me that he was planning to play the $100 Freeroll on Stars (for Austrians only) … I decided to join in, to watch him and look for leaks in his game (there are so many).

Well – after an hour I was so up and ahead – it was unbelievable – I put my hands all in ahead and not one suck out occured … But it was hard, terrible poker and I started to get bored … In the third hour some absolute noobs sat at my table and their talk was just terrible “Offline that won´t happen” – “offline people play much better” “If I am a donkey, why do I have more chips than you” “why do you raise and then fold to a reraise?” “raising is a bad thing – I´ll rather take the passive approach” … I started to tilt because I recognised that my IQ started to drop … Managed to get all in against the biggest donk (who was slightly ahead in chips) and got a third caller which worried me … I had AK, donk AQ, third caller AK – obv. the donk hit his Q. I gg all and off I was, 35 cent richer! I´ll never play one of this again ($100 for 1000 people makes it such a waste of time)

Unfortunately on Full Tilt I could not win any of my races … and lost 5 sitngos while freerolling somewhere else + bubbled a qualifier for the 750k.

Change (to day 7): -128.45

I am still swinging between $700 – $850 … put I am not playing too much at the moment

I´ll play a short session now, and then will have a break till Sunday Evening … next week I´ll try to put some Volume into my sitngos, to get a more stable trend

ugh – thank god I love train rides

Today I´ll head back home – so I´ve got a 4 hours train ride ahead of me … a lot of time to kill. I guess i´ll try to do some work for a project in which I might get involved: It´ll be about Poker and I am very excited about it, but I just can´t talk about it, yet.

As about Poker – I did not play yesterday and probably won´t today – so no updates …

Got a job interview lined up tomorrow … keep your fingers crossed, it´s up for grabs now!

I am staying at a friends house at the moment and what I do really enjoy is the chance to watch someone playing good poker … we have both our strenghts and our weaknesses and its very interesting to watch another player in different situations. In one thing we are completely different

Variance is a b*tch!

Had a nice encounter with short term variance last night – I was waiting to help my friend move and finally he told me that he was busy doing stuff in his new flat and that I won´t have to help … so I hit the internet and read some stuff before I could no longer resist and started to play.

 I did one Rebuy-MTT on Party which was a rollercoaster ride in the first hour and did run very well after that – but I went out with 20 places to go to the money, mainly because I tried to push too hard in bad positions – I definitley have to work on my MTT-Timing!

On Full Tilt I played a couple of $24 Full Ring SitnGos – and I lost everything, every coinflip – all. When I wanted to end the session I loaded two more games, because I was reaching another $20 bonus release point – one 9-person sitngo and one heads up SitnGo – and won them both … I kept playing and won two more! – Yay!!! Bubbled one after that and lost another one after that – so I finished my session then …

 So my bankroll looks very healthy again, instead of getting crushed back to the start … I have excellent sitgno results at the moment – I win 70% of the times when I make the money!!!

Bankroll: 867.59

Change: +109.7

I could afford to move to the $33 Sitngos – but feel quite good where I am right now … so I´ll stay on that level for some more time

Starting days …

Just checked the stats of this blog and I found it pretty interesting, that I only got very little hits over the weekend, but a lot before and after it …

This blog just started, so all this figures do not really mean anything yet, but I´ll have a look at this in the next weeks.

Just discovered that one blog I enjoyed to read, Simon Youngs Suffolk Punch Poker (one of the many great blogs on ontoplist.com I am linking to on the right handed side) will stop updating due to a new job – good luck Simon, I really enjoyed reading about the Hairy Gymnast …

 Did not play too much poker yesterday – and lost some money – but I did not feel to well and had to play due to my cruise league team
