Great news – i hit some big money!

Hi out there … since weeks i wanted to update my blog, but poker was so uneventful and my life so busy that I just postponed – and finally just did not write anything.

I really wanted to write this weekend, and since friday night I know that this post will turn into a brag post!

I played the 50k guaranteed on Stars and managed to finish it in 5th position.

I have been playing really good poker for some weeks now, but in the end I just could not turn it into money. All my great calls got sucked out and I really got frustrated – but last night everything was different. I played very well and when i made mistakes luck was on my side. Unfortunately I lost concentration on the Final Table – I was very tired and my decisions were just bad – but I won´t complain, as this is the third best result in my career.

My bankroll was around 1 Grand until last night – now I shipped some money to my  bank account and am playing with a 3 Grand roll!!!

I hope I´ll update more frequently again …

Time to get back on track

After a long time without updates I decided to get back to by my blog again.

After my break from Poker I played some games already, but without too much determination and without really caring about my Bankroll or my rules. I want to change that again and will start to play more serious games again.

I have decided to concentrate on two rooms, but will have some others in the mix, for interesting games or if I get bored with the same layout day in day out.

My number one room at the moment is pkr. What can I tell you about that room – I am about 45% in the money in the tournaments there, and the cash game is really soft. My main losses come from losing patience or bluffing people who are too dumbed to be bluffed. A+ for softness and thats all I need. One day the limits will get to low, but that´s not todays business.

Number 2 will be Stars. I am planning something special there – I am going to play 100 $11+1 180 players SitnGos there and will update on this blog regullary. I need to win twice to get the starting money in, but this could be fun.

My other rooms will be Full Tilt – great room, but I just can´t win there at the moment.  Poker Heaven – Rakeback is a nice thing, and its soft, too.  IntertopsPoker – I do play the headhunter league event from time to time.

I might reload on Everest one day – but not yet.

My Bankroll is in the 700s at the moment, but I will put it to exactly $1000 in the next days and then I´ll update you again on my current roll.

Time for a break/ Sorry for lack of updates

I did not update my blog for quite a time as I was very busy at work and in the last week I was sick and sleeping most of the time. Moreover nothing really exciting happened – I am on some sort of a rollercoaster ride (in poker and workwise), which is mentally exhausting, but nothing to really blog about, as I would have to start from the scratch and simply have not got enough time and enthusiasm at the moment.

Pokerwise I had a lot of up and mainly downswings: I got terrible outdrawn at some points and started to tilt very easy again. I had not had this problem for some time, so this is really disturbing me. I am at around 1,2k but I am so fed up with poker at the moment, that I have to do a lot of paperwork to actually update my statisitics and I can´t be bothered.

So, here is what I am going to do … I will withdraw my funds by Dezember 1^st and have a break until Christmas holidays. Then I will reload my important rooms again (PKR, Full Tilt and Poker Stars) and start from scratch. I plan to do this with around $750 ($300 at Stars and Full Tilt, and 150 at PKR) and use the remaining $500 for Christmas expenses or as a back up.

As long as I was looking for a job I had the enthusiasm for the grind, but when you make decent money working and are all stressed there already it´s hard to keep your motivation and performance at a top-level.

I love poker and this is the reason for making this step – I guess I have to make a step back and concentrate on some other things (I am still pretty fresh at my job) and give my private life some more room, before I come back hungry and sharp again.

So good luck with your play – I´ll still visit the poker forums and all the great blogs out there, but at the time being I am just due to some break.

I might do some updates as well – and I´ll definitley leave some friendly words on the blogs I visit …

Me and my internet connection are going down

Sorry for lack of updates, but I did not play too much the last days, as I was busy at work and visited some parties, too.

At the moment I am going down a lot again (dropped over $700) – the $60 SitnGos really hurt if you bubble them and I guess I´ll return to the $36 ones. What is really annoying is that I lose my internet connection for some seconds over and over again, which puts me on Tilt and makes it difficult to concentrate on my game. I played a $55 mtt on Star yesterday where I was top 10 for most time, before going out to a terrible call close to the bubble.

So – not running too good at the moment, butI am still confident as I do well in most game, Variance is just not on my side at the moment.

Another positive day

… but I am still disappointed! Just went out 81st in Stars 50k guaranteed, but I was on top of the field for a long time, before my good calls, which brought me there, turned against me, when the villains started to hit their draws.

Well it`s still a positiv day and my MTT run is incredibly good, but I guess I should have made more out of it today …

Well – I´ll guess I take a day off tomorrow, so no updates then …
